I know we both have tumblrs (me. you.) and live together, but since you are in another state at the moment I figured I can still use this blog. I wanted to talk about all the movies I watched in 2011. All 186 of them.

See, this past year I kept a list of every movie I watched. I even wrote down what day I watched it. I figured it would be a great tool when going over what my favorite movies of the year were. Mainly I realized two things. I watch way too many movies. And I didn’t watch Scott Pilgrim nearly enough. Only once?? (Note, I actually watched it more than once. I just forgot to write those other times down. I think the grand total is 4.)

My rules for this list were that I had to watch a movie from beginning to end. I could not come in during the middle or leave early, otherwise it didn’t count. I figure I probably viewed another 20 or so movies like this that didn’t make the list. But some interesting trends developed. One, I seemed to watch a lot of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling movies. You can even see a little trend in late January where I discovered who Emma Stone was, and absorbed all her films.

Also, you can see where I was out of the country for several months and my movie intake dropped considerably. But then you can see what movies I missed the most and watched immediately upon my return. AKA Indiana Jones and Edgar Wright films.

A lot of people said I should shoot for 200 films this year. I think I’m planning on doing the opposite. If each of these movies averaged 100 minutes, then I spent 310 hours watching films this year. That’s almost 13 whole days. I think if I need to absorb less content through films. Maybe I should look into reading more. Or maybe just having life experiences. Either way, it’s January 29, 2012 and I’ve only seen 4 movies this year. So I’m off to a good start. Then again, I’ve watched 25 episodes of Buffy, so maybe I’m just trading one for another.

I’m going to go through this list more over the next week and create my own personal Oscars. Like last year, it will not be a top ten list, or a worst ten list, or even a best list. Instead it will be my favorite things in cinema from 2011. I’ll even make up some cool categories, like coolest action scene. But I must go, I’m off to see Margaret at Cinefamily… damn, that’s 5.

We gotta name her. Also, what you may not realize is that our neighborhood is loud. We are surrounded by 24/7 construction and a crying baby. It’s making my watching of Big Bang Theory very difficult.

are you excited yet? We have a banana Tree.  One of three of our fruit bearing trees.

I don’t know if these get big enough to eat and stuff… but i hope so.  Dangling beneath the infant bananas is a banana heart.  which im not sure what it is, but Daddy (who u will meet soon) told me they sell them in asian markets.

Dear Pat,

Since you will be moving in in 13 days i want to get up peeped and excited.about the place you will soon call home.

The idea is that i will do a post every day about a different aspect of the house.
We’ll see if that pans out.

Either way- here is our shower head. We will be sharing a bathroom and a shower- so what ur looking at is this amazing shower head that i bought. It rains and pours.

I’ve been neglecting you and this blog.

Unfortunately, I really have no excuse.  Laziness isn’t an excuse, but thats why I’ve been absent. It’s incredible that I feel like blogging is something that takes up my time.  It really only takes 5-10 minutes and you are updated on me, and I’m updated to the world.

Throughout this blog I have done some serious changing.  I moved to LA. I’ve learned new things. I’ve gone through psychological and physical growth. And I’ve gotten new cars.

If you remember about two years ago I made a post about my Lumina after getting rid of the Infinity.  Then later in the year, I got a Santa Fe in order to get out to LA.

But now I am an LA driver (got my license to prove it!), so I needed an LA car. An LA car is much different then an ohio car.  With LA cars you’re not looking for something practical, or reliable, or even safe.  You are looking for something dope.
